Ilkley Gala schedule – 2023

This is an open meet in a 25m pool. Swimmers aged 9+ years can compete, and it is a suitable first electronically timed gala for our new swimmers to attend, providing you have attended the club championships, A&W or Rising Stars previously. SE Cat 2 is required and this can be arranged (there is an additional charge).

Ideal first gala for swimmers aged 8-14 years. All our swimmers meet the standard needed for this gala. Swimmers who have competed at an open meet need to check that they do not have an electronic time faster than the cut off for each event. SE compete (SE Cat 2) is NOT required for this gala
Sunday 12th NovemberBonfire BashJohn Charles Centre for Sport, LeedsStill taking entries
This gala can be entered by anyone in the club (C squad through to Masters). It is a suitable first open gala electronically timed gala for our new swimmers to attend, providing you have attended the club championships, A&W or Rising Stars previously.Medals are awarded at 3 different levels.SE CAT 2 membership is required.

18th – 19th NovemberCOBSC Winter Short Course MeetJohn Charles Centre for Sport, LeedsThursday 8th September
This is an open meet in a 25m pool. There will be a range of events from 50m to 400m. A squad and B squad can enter any events. As a guide C squad should limit entries to 50m and 100m events. You need SE CAT 2 to enter this gala. It is a suitable for swimmers who have competed before at Rising Stars or other open meets.
Sunday 3rd DecemberSwim along with SantaJohn Charles Centre for Sport, LeedsThursday 29th September
This is a very popular gala which has moved back to JCC in order to increase capacity. This is a B/C graded meet so medals are awarded at 2 different levels. This gala is a suitable first gala to compete at. Experienced swimmers please check cut off times. This is an open meet, so SE CAT 2 membership is required.
