Ilkley Swimming Club is a small non-profit making organisation dedicated to the improvement of swimming. The club aims to encourage and develop good sportsmanship, individual integrity, fitness, team spirit and provide an environment in which swimmers can realise their full potential at all levels.
Aims :
To promote the enjoyment of swimming as a healthy sport and as a 'skill for life'
To encourage appropriate ethical behaviour amongst its members.
To develop sportsmanship.
To help and encourage swimmers to reach their full potential.
To offer opportunities and facilities for all members to develop their skills and abilities.
To provide opportunities to take part in competitions.
To remain a non-profit making organisation and therefore to charge merely to cover costs
To develop mutual understanding amongst parents, coaches and swimmers on the need for co-operation, self-motivation, respect and team spirit in the pursuit of excellence.
