Ilkley Swimming Club is a friendly, growing club run by a volunteer committee on a non-profit making basis.  We have both swimming and waterpolo sessions with ASA qualified and experienced coaches, based in llkley where we run all of our training sessions.  Our aim is for our members to improve and progress their swimming and waterpolo for fitness and competition.
We compete in local galas and more serious open meets throughout the year, hold an in-house Club Championships in March and various time trials throughout the year.  We encourage our swimmers to take part in galas but this is not a requirement of membership as we recognise some of our swimmers swim for conditioning for other sports such as triathlon.
For Junior Swimming (8 years plus) we are a feeder club into the City of Bradford Development Scheme.  This scheme is for swimmers who want to swim competitively at county/regional level and above. This means we get regular visits from City of Bradford (COB) coaches and encourage our talented and committed swimmers to progress through this scheme.
Our senior (18 years plus, still in education) and Master (over 24 years) swimmers include competitive swimmers, both indoor and outdoor, who compete in Regional and National Championships.  We also have triathlon sessions for our local triathletes or for those who want to include an endurance swimming session as part of their fitness regime.
